About me
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a diverse educational and clinical background. I received a Master’s Degree from UCSF.
I completed my clinical rotations at multiple hospital settings where I learned about a wide range of psychiatric conditions and treatment modalities(medical and non-medical).
Over the years, I worked as a Psychiatric provider and gained extensive experience in diagnosing, prescribing and treating a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, sleep disorders, ADHD, and other psychiatric disorders.
I worked with a diverse patient population in several hospital settings(in-patient, out-patient, Crisis Stabilization and Psychiatric Emergency Room) and treated mild-severe mental disorders.
My Philosophy
My philosophy consists of using a multifaceted evidence-based approach that includes physical, emotional, and social factors to tailor treatment plans specific to each individual.
My passion for helping others is the driving force behind my commitment to providing empathetic, ethical, and evidence-based psychiatric care. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that fosters trust, safety, and openness, allowing patients to feel supported and understood. This environment is essential for facilitating healing and growth.
In my practice, I continuously seek to integrate the latest research and clinical best practices to ensure that my patients receive the most effective treatments. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and professional development, understanding that the field of psychiatry is ever-evolving. This commitment to staying informed about new developments ensures that my patients benefit from the most current and effective therapeutic approaches.
Moreover, I place a strong emphasis on collaboration with other healthcare professionals. By working together with a team of experts, we can provide a comprehensive approach to care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being. This collaborative approach is particularly important in managing complex cases, where multiple perspectives can lead to more effective treatment strategies.

Sridevi is stern and cuts to the chase, but she is still attentive and all of my interactions with her have been positive. She takes her time to listen to my problems and has been helping me through my struggles. Thank you Sridevi!

It was a bittersweet appointment this morning, as I learned it would be our lqst session together. It's been wonderful having Sridevi Banka as my therapist and I want to wish her well in her next chapter of life and many blessings. She was thorough and patient explaining things on a level that was completely understandable. I will miss her. Any one who has been a patient as I have, have truly been blessed. The best is yet to come... 🙂
